Federica Martini

Art History

Federica Martini (1976, Turin), lives and works in Lausanne and Sierre. She studied North American Literature and Contemporary Art at the University of Turin. In 2007 she completed a doctorate on the history and geopolitics of the Venice Biennale and periodic contemporary art events. She has collaborated with the curatorial departments of Castello di Rivoli Museo d’Arte Contemporanea, Musée Jenisch Vevey and Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts/Lausanne. Since 2009 she is in charge of the Master MAPS – Arts in Public Spheres of ECAV – Ecole Cantonale d’Art du Valais, Sierre. She is a member of SARN – Swiss Artistic Research Network, and of the collective Standard/Deluxe of Lausanne.
