Benedetta ZUCCONI

Musicology

Benedetta Zucconi (1985, Parma. Lives and works in Berne) took a degree in Viola in 2007 at the Piacenza Conservatory. In 2011 she took a degree in musicology at the University of Pavia, with a thesis on the contemporary composer Bruno Maderna. With a particular interest in the musical issues of the 20th century and contemporary opera, in 2011 she was assigned a study grant at the Paul Sacher Stiftung of Basel.  She is presently working on a doctorate thanks to a grant from the Swiss National Foundation at the University of Berne, investigating the effects of musical recording on vocal praxis in the early 1900s in Italy.
