Marta Riniker-Radich (1982, Bern) took a masters at the Haute école d’art et de design of Geneva (HEAD) in 2008. She has had exhibitions at 8 Rue Saint-Bon in Paris, Kunsthaus Langenthal, Galerie Francesca Pia in Zurich, Centre d’Art Contemporain Geneva, New Jerseyy in Basel. She has won many prizes, including the recent Manor Kunstpreis Aarau for 2016, and in 2014 she was an artist-in-residence at Fieldwork Marfa in Texas. From 2011 to 2014 she co-directed the independent artspaces Hard Hat in Geneva. Her recent research focuses on socio-cultural aspects connected with the oil industry in Texas and on its importance in the formation of the mentality of that state.
