Cédric RODUIT

Sciences of antiquity

Born in Canton Valais, Cédric Roduit (1983, Leytron, Switzerland. Lives and works in Lausanne) studied Latin and French at the Department of Letters of the University of Lausanne. He completed his training with a specialization program on the history of the book and critical editions of texts. In 2010 he took an MA in Letters and Sciences of Antiquity and Modern French with a thesis on the publication and translation of a hagiographic Latin text from the 8th century, The Passion of St. Sigismund, a theme that permitted him to conduct his first research on the history of St. Maurice’s Abbey in Canton Valais.  He is presently working on his doctoral thesis on Carmen paschale, the biblical epic poem of the 5th century by the Latin poet Coelius Sedulius.
